The Cellar Door Sessions presents and promotes music from everywhere, whether it be from Newport or Canada, West Africa or Bristol.
We try to encourage and nurture musicians, give them a platform and an intimate space for them to express their music to a small but enthusiastic audience who really appreciate their talent.
And if the Music and stimulating conversation isn't enough, we also exhibit and sell local artist's work. So, a small community based pub with great Cider & Ale, local artist's exhibitions what's not to like!!
The Cellar Door was born in November 2017.
We are a Micropub, a small pub who opened in a former computer shop. We are free from distractions, no TV no Games Machines no Pool Table or Darts Teams, just good Traditional locally produced Ciders & Real Casked Conditioned Ales.
We also stock everything else you would expect to find in a normal pub, bottled lager, top shelf stuff, soft drinks, wine and bar snacks.
As a result of the lack of distractions, we provide Live Music every Thursday & Sunday, to stimulate and entertain the body & soul!!
If you enjoy good conversation, there's always some sort of topical debate going on with the locals, who'll take you to their heart, that's what Newport is like.
Family friendly and we love dogs too.
